South Puget Sound Community College hired a new program assistant for the testing center, Joan Lasseter, in mid April.
Lasseter said she has 12 years of experience working in a community college, has worked as a teacher in the K-12 system, and has a Bachelors in Education. She said she has a passion for moving students forward.
Lasseter said she is enjoying working at the college, and that the campus is beautiful. She said she is interested in volunteering as a tutor in elementary math or GED classes once she is settled in at the college. She said SPSCC is a community college for the community, and she wants to be part of that community.
