Fundraiser to help needy children starts on campus

SPSCC’s 11th Annual Shoe Box Holiday for Children is now happening.

This is an event that allows for children to enjoy gifts during the holiday season they would otherwise be without. The gift is a donated shoe box, full of toys. Parents or guardians that are enrolled at SPSCC and have children between the ages of 1-15, can apply for a shoe box for their child.

This event also needs sponsors who provide the gifts for the children. Julia Alforde, the Community and Health Coordinator, said, “We don’t have many parents signing up at the moment, we have more sponsors than parents, so parents are welcome to submit applications and can find them all around campus.”
